As the economic hub of East Central Illinois, the mix of business and industry in Champaign County includes both large and small enterprises. The Chamber and local development organizations continue working to provide even greater opportunities for the expansion of existing companies and attraction of new firms through a variety of incentives such as tax increment financing districts and enterprise zones. Low-interest loans, subsidized employee training, and assistance in site selection are other attractive incentives.
